From my early career as a corporate manager, then transitioning into a full-time mom of three, then back in the workforce as a corporate executive, my journey to becoming a counsellor has been a rich tapestry of experiences. This path has taken me around the world—from China to Singapore, to North America and, back in Singapore. As a result, I am intimately familiar with the complexities of cross-cultural living and working as well as the challenges associated with family relocation.

Through the years, I have come to see mental health and wellness as the cornerstone of a meaningful life. To struggle is to be human; whether in my friends, family, or myself, I have seen how stress, sadness, and fear can overwhelm our lives. And just how lonely that may feel. 

 

As Brene Brown eloquently puts it, “We don’t have to do it all alone. We were never meant to.”
